New Patients

Welcome to Kabrick & Associates. We’re glad you’ve chosen us as your provider for physical therapy. Your return to the highest level of function possible is our treatment goal. Because Physical Therapy is a cumulative treatment, it is important for you to keep your scheduled appointments.

Appointments

Oklahoma State law dictates that our patients be referred by a physician. Once your physician hands you your prescription, your treatment program begins. Call the office at 918-664-6874 to set up your initial evaluation and treatment time. You will need your insurance card and your prescription in hand when you call.

We ask that you arrive on time. We value your time and strive to keep you out of the waiting room and into the treatment area. The therapist will discuss your treatment plan with you on your first visit. We ask that you call to cancel or change your appointment with at least 24 hours notice.

Treatment Time

Your duration of treatment with the physical therapist is dictated by the Physician prescription. On your first visit the therapist will spend some time taking a history and gathering information about your condition and then design the plan of treatment most appropriate. There are many “modalities” and procedures used by the therapist. The more traditional are heat (ultrasound, diathermy, hot packs), ice, electrical stimulation of various types of current, and exercise. As pain is controlled more specific exercise, including joint mobilization, joint and muscle specific exercises are included in the treatment. A home exercise program generally is designed and progressed throughout treatment as indicated.

If you are scheduled for whirlpool treatment, please bring your swimsuit. Knee patients will need to wear, or change into shorts.

Payment for Services

Our office will call your insurance company to verify that your insurance will cover your treatment charges. We will bill your insurance company and submit claims on your behalf. Your coverage agreement is between you and the insurance company. We will work with your insurance company to provide the maximum benefit allowed to you. Any charges not covered by insurance will be paid by the patient. Our policy is to collect for supplies used at the time of treatment. If insurance covers those supplies, you will be reimbursed. Copay and deductables are due when service is rendered. VISA and MASTERCARD are accepted.
