Kabrick and Associates is the sole Tulsa provider for the Employment Testing Program, which provides standardized functional employment testing. It identifies individuals who do not meet job specific strengths, thereby matching current and new employees to the physical demands of their jobs. is ADA and EEOC compliant.
Before testing can begin an ONSITE Ergonomic Analysis is performed. At this analysis, the therapist will observe the work environment, watch the job as it is performed, measure distances, heights, and weights of objects being utilized by the employee. Physical job requirements are established. Kabrick & Associates then develops a testing protocol.
Tests Offered
Post-Offer/Pre-Placement Comprehensive Test
This test is a 1.5 to 2 hour test, which gathers extensive baseline date (including over 30 measurements) to determine a candidate's ability to perform physical requirements safely. It identifies cumulative trauma syndromes or disease processes (or their increases) and qualifies legitimate employees. It gives recommendation on the applicant's ability to meet job essential functions or medical risk criteria. The baseline information can be used by medical providers to establish pre-injury status to negate paying for rehab services that are fraudulent or not based upon achievable functional goals.
This test is administered post-offer, with employment being conditional upon applicant's ability to safely perform the essential job functions for that position or medical risk criteria.
Post-Employment or Fit for Duty Test
This test is administered to individual employees who demonstrate difficulty performing essential functions or to a classification of employees to detect medical risk and/or job specific risk profiles. It is also used for employees wishing to return to work following injury or illness. Results may include a capable/non-capable or accommodation recommendation.
This test is administered to individuals already employed in their position. This test can be performed voluntarily, or at scheduled intervals (yearly, every two years, etc.) to assess fit for work status in physically demanding jobs (TAM VI-12). An individual can be singled out of a pool of workers if that individual is demonstrating “evidence of problems related to job performance or safety” (Tam VI-12).
Carpal Tunnel/Upper Extremity Test
The Carpal Tunnel/Upper Extremity Test is a stand alone test or can be incorporated into the post offer/pre-placement comprehensive test, or the post-employment fit for duty test.
This test includes a surface EMG; specific screening tests for upper extremity problems; grip and pinch strength testing; and cervical spine range of motion.
This test is administered to individuals in high repetition type employment and heavy use of the upper extremities.
